Drama Review: The King of Dramas Episode 15

King of Dramas
Episode 15: The Turning Point
Finally Anthony Kim asked Lee Go Eun if she likes him.  To me this is more like him trying to substantiate his suspicion that she has feelings for him and at the same time affirm his own feelings towards her.  Just like a man is validating his feelings for a girl by checking what he’d feel once the girl admits that she likes him.  That’s why he even said, “But then, there is no way you would.”

I call this episode the turning point because with regards to the romance between the main characters and the other two secondary leads, a good development actually happened in this episode.  When Anthony asked Go Eun she didn’t answer right away, of course.  Out of astonishment, probably? However, despite being flabbergasted, Go Eun landed back to earth and answered but as expected, that’s when Anthony already left.  Is it too late?  Not really, because Anthony was just there hiding while listening to her.
But because he is the type who prioritizes his dream over personal feelings for anyone, while looking back at what happened, he tried to shake off the effect on him of Go Eun’s confirmation to his question in the beginning of the episode.  Poor Go Eun.  You’d think that well, they both like each other so why not be together as a couple or something of that sort.  But then again, Anthony is a more mature character both in Physical and mental age here.  I don’t mean him looking so old for her or anything like that but I’m sure if you have watched this drama from the very beginning, you would agree if I say his character has a certain maturity that only a guy his age with his experience would have.  Anyways, despite them not becoming a couple, that didn’t stop Anthony to take care of Lee Go Eun in his own “subtle” ways.  At some point in the episode, he bought her supplements and vitamins so she’d stay healthy amidst her hectic schedule.  But he will soon realize that he already fell for this girl that he can’t help looking at her with total admiration.

He had fallen for her to the point of him having to remind himself that she is a writer and he is a producer.   I personally am not sure why this is.  I mean, is there anything wrong if they become together as couple?  Is it because he wants no attachment to anyone he works with just like the saying don’t mix business with pleasure?
This episode is a turning point indeed because at the end, he will finally welcome the fact that he likes Lee Go Eun.  How?  This admittance may have been caused by that strong feeling of concern towards Go Eun after he saw her fainted because of high fever.  Sometimes, that’s all it takes.  We all know Kdramas are full of that!
This turning point is not just for the 2 main leads as I mention in the beginning but also between Kang Hyun Min and Sung Min Nah.

In Hyun Min’s case, it was sudden.  From being indifferent towards Min Ah to being perplexed about his feelings because he is suddenly seeing her in a totally different light as if she’s glowing in his eyes.  That may have been caused literally by the light behind her or we can all blame Cupid for hitting the target!

Unfortunately, Sung Min Ah still has a thing for Anthony Kim.  Good and bad.  Why? Well, bad because we all know she can’t have Anthony until the very end.  That’s just how it is.  Good because working hard to get the woman he likes is something that would bring Hyun Min back to earth.  The dude is such a trip! In a funny way, though. J
